RESOLVED: Get / Keep finances in order. My monthly budget is working out well and all looks good. I'm so proud! Good thing, retirement rocks!
RESOLVED: Continue the Jen List. This is my monthly "to do" list and keeps me focused. It needs some tweaking, but generally it works well. I may delete this for 2011 lumping it under "be organized" which would also include finances and keeping house. These were actually all successes for the most part.
RESOLVED: Write. Hey, I'm writing now! I finished strong having made some good progress on the autobiography. Although I'm in contact, I've pretty much left the Sunday writing group. I wrote a song "Sound Check" designed to be sung during, well, sound check!
RESOLVED: Show Brain Activity. This was a big success for 2010. I still read alot, including Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" and Tribe's "The Invisible Constitution". I went through most of the Truman biography and should finish in January. I finished the Philosophy DVD's and await the next set. My next project is to figure out my new digital recorder!
RESOLVED: Travel. The 58 County Pledge is about half done at year end. The 50 State Pledge completion was postponed due to some conflicts in scheduling - I'll finish in either June or October, 2011. I want to go back to Hawaii probably in March.
RESOLVED: Keep house. I completed several major projects in 2010: the deck, the laundry room, landscaping, earthquake supplies, a new water heater, an alteration to my roof, replacing my garage roof, and a major purge of unneeded stuff. Now it should all be routine (or at least less expensive) stuff. I hope.
RESOLVED: Keep up this site. Considering that few people visit it, I've done a pretty good job keeping it up. I'd like to be a bit more creative. Ideas are welcome.
RESOLVED: Socialize. Not enough was done in 2010. Durango was fun and I've met a musician here and a golfer there, but I'm sensing too much time spent inside my house. I need to get out more often.
RESOLVED: Look for the Next Big Thing. Right now my next big thing is my solo music set. I need more diligence, and progress is marginal. Still open to what life may offer.
RESOLVED: Don't get too hung up on resolutions. I'm good at this! |

RESOLVED: Be healthy. Despite finding a few pounds late in the year, my weight was reasonable for the most part. I did all my doctor, dentist, optomitrist and lab visits. The colonoscopy went well. I know, thanks for sharing. End of month weights: January - 203 February - 200 March - 197 April - 199 May - 199 June - 193 July - 190 August - 190 September - 190 October - 196 November - 200 December - 202
RESOLVED: Don't suck at golf. I'd love my index to be under 20. October 15 I was 20.6, but now I'm back up to 22.3. Monthly indexes at year end: January - 23.2 February - 24.4 March - 24.2 April - 24.1 May - 23.3 June - 25.1 July - 24.3 August - 23.1 September - 21.2 October -21.1 November - 21.6 December - 22.3
RESOLVED: Play music. As of early November, I've sadly lost some of the drive from my Colorado trips. Guitar and voice lessons went well and I'll do them in 2011. I replaced my digital recorder. I'm still working on a solo set and also on a duo with friend. I finished off the year with a bad cold.
RESOLVED: Cut down on brainless computer games. This is still a problem, not any sustained progress and other things not getting done. I'm beginning to think that I need to get some kind of help. Dang. |
