RESOLVED: Write. Write something for my class every week even if I'm not there. Finish autobiographical brain dump (including philosophies). I didn't finish in 2010, Sometimes going months with nothing. The dump should be done by the end of April.
RESOLVED: Brain Activity. Continue to read and write and educate myself. Try and do new things. Do things that keep me mentally active.
RESOLVED: Travel. Complete the 50-State Pledge. Now I have the 58 County Pledge, with 30 left as of January 1. I should do at least 20 of these in 2010. As time and finances allow, do more! Visit Arcata at least 4 times.
RESOLVED: Keep up this site. I did well in 2010. I'll stay with at least one major update each month. Finish the vacation postings. Add house and guitar sections.
RESOLVED: Socialize. Writing is very solitary. So are road trips. I need to be sure I meet people and maintain friendships.
RESOLVED: Look for the next big thing. Some venture that could have an indefinite time span. I may not find it, but I need to seek. Craigslist is a minimum.
RESOLVED: I may add one here later.
RESOLVED: Don't get too hung up on resolutions! (I've always been good at this! |

RESOLVED: Be healthy. I'll keep this for 2011. I started 2009 at 201 and ended about the same. The first of each month I'll have a weigh-in and report back. 200 is marginal, 190 good, and 185 I can be proud of. Eat properly. Track monthly ending weight.
A couple of trips to the dentist and one each to the eye doctor and GP with acceptable results and proper follow-ups. I was good on this.
RESOLVED: Not to suck at golf. Still harder than I thought. First and foremost, I have to enjoy it. Practice at least once for each 2 times at or over 100. Do PPGS. Get my index under 20. Eliminate the fade from my driver. Use fairway woods.
RESOLVED: Play music. For now, play guitar an average of 1/2 hour a day when at home or have access. Listen to music (at least 1 club or concert per month!)
RESOLVED: Cut down on brainless computer games. This has been a problem for years. What a waste of my time. Find help for addictive behavior.
RESOLVED: Be organized. Keep up the "Jen List". This is my monthly "to do" list that my good friend Jennifer recommended I set up so I'd recognize what I was and wasn't getting done. I feel much more productive when I use it. This was a big success in 2010. Also, keep my finances in order. I have a spreadsheet with my budget on it. BIG help! Keep house. Hopefully all big projects are out of the way unless I redo the kitchen. Maintain the car. Always be within an hour from being ready for company! A place for everything and everything in its place! |
