Shin's Resolutions 2012 - How'm I Doing?
Progress (or lack thereof) as of May 3, 2012
RESOLVED:  Be organized.  I use the Jen List to make sure I do the routine stuff and at least remember the major stuff I want to do.  It helps.  Just making the list helps.  I started doing an electronic calendar in January 2012!  I need to be sure I use it at least weekly to get in the habit.  As of May 3, it's still working!

RESOLVED:
Write.  Hey, I'm writing now!  This took a back seat to other priorities in the second half of 2011 and I haven't done much with it.  I wrote a paper outlining options for an investment group to which I belong.  This just isn't big right now (May.)

RESOLVED: Show Brain Activity.  The usual stuff, reading, educational DVD's etc.  I started learning Spanish.  A couple of snags but it's progressing. 

RESOLVED: Travel.  Apart from a trip to Arcata I did nothing in January, February or March.  Gotta at least do some counties for March.  Hawaii didn't seem to happen!  I'm also starting to think of England again, or possibly South or Central America to use my Spanish.

RESOLVED: Keep up this site.  I'm back to a timely update.  Not many folks look at it, but every now and then someone does.  Lots of ideas, no action, no motivation.  Much like my life.

RESOLVED: Socialize.  Nada of significance lately beyond golf and jamming.  I really need some new folks to hang with.  Not wishing to replace the old ones!  Perhaps Spanish will help.

RESOLVED: Look for the Next Big Thing.  Solo performing ain't it.  Maybe my next travel gig will be it.  Maybe Spanish.  Lots of maybe.  Nothing for now.

RESOLVED: Don't get too hung up on resolutions.  I'm good at this!
RESOLVED: Be healthy.  I'm still good on fruits and veggies, but need to lose a few pounds.  I've got all my exams and tests up to date.  I've been having back problems of late.  Started walking more as part of the treatment!

RESOLVED: Don't suck at golf.  I'd love my index to be under 20.  My best was October 15, 2010 at 20.6.  Winter is always bad, but this one less so.  I took some group lessons in February.  End of month indexes:

RESOLVED: Play music.  Nada of late.  Still, I play in the house for myself so I doubt I'm losing much.  I'll be subbing as lead guitarist for Void for a June gig and doing the reunion thing in October.  Also, will sit in with a large acoustic jam for my Unitarian church friends in June.
RESOLVED: Cut down on brainless computer games.  This has had an interesting substitution.  Spanish lessons!  Not brainless.  I still waste time but it's looking up!  A little.
